Cinematic storytelling for charities, conservation and purpose-led organisations

One of the things I enjoy most is helping people feel comfortable on camera. As someone who isn't naturally drawn to being in front of the lens myself, I understand how daunting it can feel. I've found that when people are given the time, space and confidence to relax, their expertise, passion and personality naturally shine through. Watching someone grow in confidence during an interview and become excited about sharing their story is one of the most rewarding parts of my job.

I enjoy working unobtrusively, capturing authentic interactions and the small details that might otherwise go unnoticed. Sometimes it's a single conversation, a shared laugh or a quiet moment that tells the story best. I also love the challenge of distilling an entire event, project or campaign into just a few minutes, capturing its energy, impact and purpose. Great films don't just document what happened—they help audiences understand why it matters and inspire them to take action.

Alongside my work on charity and documentary projects, I have a background in Zoology and natural history filmmaking, with a particular passion for marine conservation. As a Paddlesport Leader, PADI Divemaster and AIDA 4 Freediver, I feel equally at home above and below the water and am particularly drawn to stories that connect people with nature and conservation.

From the first conversation to the final edit, my aim is always the same: to create thoughtful, engaging films that help important stories reach the people who need to hear them.

A Bit About Me

I'm Rachel; a filmmaker, producer and storyteller with a passion for capturing authentic stories that inspire connection and positive change.

My career has taken me from wildlife and conservation productions to community projects, charity campaigns and purpose-led organisations, filming everywhere from local community initiatives to remote coastlines and scientific expeditions. I love the variety that filmmaking brings and the opportunity to meet passionate people doing meaningful work.
